Instagram has been my favourite social media platform for the last few years, I’m much more of a visual person so I love to see all the amazing photos people take. Snap chat is also one of my favourites but I use that more for connecting with close friends rather than following celebrities. I wanted to talk you through my favourite instagram accounts to give you recommendations of who to follow and for you to get to know me and my interests a bit more. I follow a wide range of accounts from food to fashion to my grandma but there are a few accounts that really stand out to me and I believe deserve recognition.
The first has to be @emmaleger, she is a Canadian blogger who has the most aesthetic feed with 165k followers. I actually found her through YouTube which actually only has 30k subscribers so I believe her main focus is her instagram, she mentioned her instagram in on of her videos and so I gave it a follow. She posts regularly which is something I love and with a variety of content. She posts a lot of outfit content, tagging where she brought pieces from, she has quite a unique style and does an amazing job a piecing together the perfect accessories and outfits. She’s quite out there with some of her outfits which I aspire to be like but don’t have the confidence so seeing her pull them off encourages me to try something different. She also wears quite basic and comfy outfits sometimes which is a lot more my style, so she definitely has inspo for everyone. She finds the most amazing vintage jewellery and bags to perfectly complete her outfits, with small designer details giving her a high end look. Not only does she post her outfits she travels a lot and finds the most beautiful spots to share. She recently went on a trip around France and Italy and the photos were beautiful and really made me want to visit, she actually recommended a restaurant on her last Paris trip and when I visited Paris me and my friend stopped there and we were not disappointed. She also visits amazing restaurants and posts photos of her aesthetic food, which is something I enjoy as I love food. She has a group of three girl friends who all have the similar aesthetic to her with there feeds and styles so they are definitely worth a follow as well if you love her feed. Emmas boyfriend is a photographer so he takes most of her photos and he does an amazing job, they are always so high quality and perfectly edited, she does not play around. Most of the time she posts a reel of photos in the same setting, which are usually her outfit posts so it’s a great way to see her outfit in all the different angles and her poses are amazing. Another thing I love about her instagram is her stories, she doesn’t post stories that are of pointless things or rants like some celebrities do, they are always so aesthetic and informative and I love getting that extra bit of content from her.
Another on of my absolute favourite instagramers is @missjoslin, an English blogger who has 337k followers. I began following her about a year ago when pretty little thing reposted one of her outfits and I absolutely loved her style. She just perfectly creates the most amazing outfits, everything I see she’s wearing I love, she can put together really basic pieces and make such a unique outfit. She wears a lot of high street brands and things like pretty little thing and misguided which I really appreciate because I could actually afford the pieces she wears and its not all designer clothes I would never be able to recreate the look with. She has a really comfy style, with a lot of joggers and jumpers which is definitely my style, but she shows me ways of still making the comfy outfits stylish. She has a few designer accessories which she uses to dress up the basic outfits which I love but most of them could probably be found at a cheaper prices with dupe so her followers are still able to create the outfits. She travels quite a bit which gives her great content with all of the different settings, however her account is a lot more outfit based so we only really see the gorgeous places in the backgrounds of her photos so if you want to see lots of outfit inspo she’s defo who you need to follow. She does post a lot more on her story that’s not fashion related so she still gives us the insights to her life and the amazing places she visits on there without taking away from her aesthetic. She partners up with brands for promo posts quite a bit to update you on their collections and deals whilst also giving her followers discount codes which is always appreciated. She collaborated with Prettylittlething to create a clothing range so she has a great partnership with them and posts quite a bit in there clothes.
The next is @hannahmeloche a 17 year American YouTuber who is also very successful on Instagram with 1.7million followers. Her instagram doesn’t really have a set theme she posts kind of like a normal 17 year old, with friends, outfits and holidays but that’s what I love about her account, its so relatable and chill. She often does photoshoots in beautiful settings which are focused on her, she’s stunning and has a great style and the quality of the photos is always amazing. She travels a lot of takes some amazing photos in stunning places. What I love is that she has a great balance of photos, some being really relaxed and silly with her friends and then some being perfectly shoot, high quality photos, she really shows the reality of her life, not just a perfectly filtered life which I really love about her as influencers these days try to show they have the perfect life and always look and feel amazing which can be a lot of hard work and actually isn’t always what their followers want to see, we like to see that they are just like us but with more followers and that they are truly happy. With Hannah being only 17 its great that she’s been so successful and still not lost herself so I admire her a lot and love what she is all about. She also keeps us up to date on her day to day life with regular story updates.
And then a completely different instagram aesthetic I love is @foodwithmichel which you can guess by the name is a food account by a guy named Michel who’s from LA and has 353k followers. He travels a lot showing his followers all of the amazing food he finds, he is in Tokyo a lot due to their innovative lifestyle being reflected in their restaurants a food. What I love about his account is that he doesn’t just post a photo of the food, he will take a small video of the actually making it which is so satisfying to watch, but not only that you get a better look at what’s in the food and how they create it instead of just seeing a finished photo and a review. He tires a massive variety of food from ice cream, to burgers to sushi and so much more. He always tags the location of where he got the food and captions it what it is if anyone was wanting to actually go and get it. He doesn’t slack at his job, the videos are so well put together and flow seamlessly with music in the background making it fun to watch and the photos of the end results are always so well taken and then edited to a very high quality. He even visited a noodle factory to see how they made raymun cups and of course filmed a very satisfying video for us to all see the process as well. He always tries very different and unique foods so the posts are never boring and being the foodie I am I love to see all of the amazing creations people create. One of the favourite things he does is post all the different things there are at McDonald’s around the world because for some reason I find this interesting. So if you enjoy food and seeing all the different creations people make and how they are made you should definitely give him a follow but pre warning it makes you very hungry.
