Hi, I'm Jess Eve and I have just began studying Fashion Communication and Promotion (which is quite a mouthful so we will just call it FCP). I am currently in my first year at Nottingham Trent University and starting a blog is part of my course, so here I am trying to make the best of this as I am not much of a writer.

So I moved my life to Nottingham on 21st September 2019. I live in Birmingham so the journey was a short and sweet 50 minutes long, the day did not continue so sweetly. On my way to Nottingham my flat mates messaged me saying they were outside our flat and they couldn't see a window for my room, so I'm thinking the worst and picturing an absolute prison cell of a room which I am about to move into, can't wait. When I parked up my car load of belongings, in the pouring rain, I went on into the building the check in. I was welcomed by the sliding door closing on me, at high speed, not the best welcome to my new home. It only went down hill, when I attempted to check in and collect my room keys I was informed that reception was closed and I would have the come back and check in the following day, when I had a day full of induction lectures. After a small break down, my not very happy mum argued her way into the caretakers office, we were able to get my room keys! You'll be happy to know when I entered my room I did have a window, it was actually bigger than all the others so they thought it was a kitchen window, so very happy about that. My room was a lot nicer than I thought it would be, quite big actually and with a double bed, which after having a single last year, was a great luxury! Although the bathroom looks like an aeroplane toilet, at least I have an en-suite. Many trips, many stairs, many boxes and a full length mirror later all of my life was moved into my new room. I hadn't actually thought about the all of unpacking I had ahead of me as I collapsed onto my not so comfy uni bed. Decorating and moving into your new room isn't as exciting as the YouTube vlogs make it out to be, all I wanted to do was sleep, but I did manage to persuade myself to make my bed and unpack my clothes; so here is my dorm sweet dorm for my first year at NTU.

My flat mates had all moved in a week before me so I had a bit of FOMO when they said

they would be going out that night, sooo me being absolutely shattered and my 9am the next day played no part in the decision to saying yes to going out on a Sunday night. It was freshers week, this is what being a student is all about? We went to Trent Army at Rock City

for my first freshers night and which as you can see by the photo was a blurry one.

I am in a flat with 4 other girls, something which I wasn't to keen on the idea of after my experiences last year, I will get into that in another post lol, but after this night I was very happy with my flat as the girls were so lovely and we got on so well and I knew it would be so fun to live with them for the rest of this year. My first day of university consisted of a very bad hangover and a full day of welcome talks, it can only go up from here?
