After my visit to New York in January 2020 I wanted to talk you through some of my favourite locations and photo that are a must visit if you're going to New York.
The first photo spot we went to was the Vessle at Hudson Yard, it's very tiring to walk up but the actual construction itself and the views are amazing and it's free to visit so worth doing if your in the area and the shopping centre next to it is really nice with some great stores to visit.
And of course a must see when visiting the city, Times Square. I can't lie I was slightly disappointed as it wasn't as big as I had imagined but it's still a bucket list experience and if you get the best spots and angles it can look amazing in photos. It's also just one of those spots that when you're there you really know you're in New York.
We visited the Museum of Art and Design, which also had the Anna Sui exhibition at that time, this was a great spot with some gorgeous and really creative pieces if you're interested in fashion or art it's worth looking into.
We also visited The New York Palace hotel, which if you have seen Gossip Girl is a must visit. It was a lot smaller than I had anticipated but still an amazing building where quite a few things have been filmed and its just a really classic New York location that is great to visit.
Walking down 5th Avenue is just amazing, so many unique store displays and endless roads with amazing skyline views it's a great place for some photos and just taking it all in and window shopping as a lot of it is designer, unless you can afford that then enjoy the luxury.

The MET, of course another must visit, but I can't lie we didn't actually go around the museum as we were too late but it was still amazing to see from the outside as it's such an iconic museum. I've heard very good things so if you do get the chance its worth having a look around.
An area that you must visit is Soho, I absolutely fell in love with this area of the city. There are so many unique stores, streets and lots of flagship stores which are always amazing to see. As it's such an arty and unique area the brands really set lose on their creative teams and create some amazing spaces which are so worth visiting. The streets are also gorgeous as they are little less built up than downtown NY which has all the skyscrapers so is a great photo op.
We went down north near Brooklyn Bridge to this gorgeous area by Titanic Memorial park where there was some really unique and interesting stores, it's also on the edge of the East River so you get some amazing views. We also of course visited the Brooklyn Bridge which is a definite must do if you are going to NY, the views are just breath taking, looking back on the busy NY, over at the East river or straight on to Brooklyn. It's a great way to escape the busy city. It is also amazing for photo opportunities, there are so many spots and angles you can get whilst on the bridge.
We visited Brooklyn for a little bit but were unsure on what to do there so we didn't stay there for long so I would say if your going you should plan your day in advance. We did end up going further into Brooklyn by Subway to the Barclays Center and explored the shopping centre and stores around that area.
An absolute must see is the Rockefeller Center, not only the Top of the Rock but all of the area and stores around the the center were great the experience and really beautiful. We of course went up the Top of the Rock which I would very very highly recommend, the views are unbelievable and you can get a 360 of the whole city at a variety of heights. We were also very lucky with the weather on the day we went up, although it was -5 degrees it was blue skies and sunny so the pictures were amazing.
The Chelsea Market is also a great place to visit, with so many small brands selling unique pieces and trying different foods, if you like markets you will love this one. Although it was busy it was still easy to get around and you can see so many different things in such a small space, so definitely worth a visit to find some great pieces and maybe get some unique photos if you can find the space.
And my final favourite spot we visited was Central Park, this is just a 100% must see, it's unlike any other park. Full of greenery, water features, rock features and monuments and sculptures, you could get lost in there for hours. With the skyscrapers surrounding the beautiful landscapes its the perfect photo opportunity but also a great place to escape the city. They offer boat rides and bike rides which would be amazing to explore more of the park but the weather didn't let us do that. However we were lucky enough to get snow whilst we were in the park which made it even more amazingly beautiful.
